Vidhana Soudha

Cubbon Park
In 1864, Lord Cubbon, laid out 300 areas of verdant tranquility. Today, it remains as an oasis of greenery in the heart of modern Bangalore. Bal Bhavan
A joy - place for children, packed with facilities like boating, pony rides to train, children's theatre and plain land for them to play around. Next to it is a diamond shaped aquarium.
The Bangalore Palace
A Royal construction in the heart of the city, the palace spreads around an area of 45,000 square feet. This palace is built in the Tudor style and draws inspiration from the Windsor Castle. This 110 year old monument is very popular among tourists and also film people.
The Fort and Tipu Sultan's Palace
Fightiing against time, this for is almost in ruins, Kempegowda actually built it, but Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan rebuilt it in the 16th Century. Tipu Sultan's Palace close to the fort is now a museum which tells us about the royal time of Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan.
Government Museum
One of the oldest museums in the country, this museum has a wide range of collections like coins, inscriptions, old paintings and excavated items.
Ulsoor Lake
This lake is centrally located, over a space of 1.5 sq. Kms dotted with picturesque, tiny islands, it is just the spot to take a break from sightseeing and shopping. Enjoy a boat ride, swim in the pool nearby or just sit back and watch the rippies of the take.
Ulsoor Lake wears a festive look during Ganesha Festival (August - September when a large number of devotees immense the idol of Ganesha in the lake with all the caremonial regalia. During the Dasara Festiva (October) the local Bengals take the ideal of Goddess Durga in a grand procession and immense it in the lake.
Jawaharlal Nehru Planetorium
T. Chowdiah Road, Opp. Basava Bhavan, offers Sky Theatre Show of the Planetarium Cosmic Journey and Exhibition of fascinating pictures. Shows: 3pm to 4 pm Kannada Commentary, 4pm to 4 pm English Commentary.
Visveswarya Institute of Technological Museum
Situated at Kasturba Road, Bangalore, adjacent to the Govt. Museum is open daily except to Mondays and Public Holidays. Between 10 am to 5 pm. Attractive models, depicting industrial and technological development of our country are displayed here.
Venkatappa Art Gallery
This art museum contains an exhibition of paintings by the famous court painter S.K. Venkatapa. This was extablished in 1966. Musical instruments made by Shri Vankatappa are also on display here.

Mekedatu
98 Kms from Bangalore on Karnakapura Road. the sacred Cauvery, passes through a narrow rocky channel which approximately is of the size across which 'g goat could leap'. The Sangameshwara Temple is situatedd at the point where rivers Cauvery and Arkavathi meet.
Bannerghatta National Park
Located 22 kms south amidst sylvan surroundings, this park has a crocodile farm, and a tiger and lion safari.
